In 1978, , a 14-year-old jeweller Jaswant Soni left his hometown Bikaner behind for the city of Ahmedabad. The teenager started his craftsmanship journey by designing jadtar jewellery for a few renowned jewellery showrooms in the city. Patrons were so impressed by his work that it was not long before word got around in fine jewellery circles of the excellent and trusted new ‘jadiya’ in town.
Jaswant Soni’s popularity increased at such a phenomenal pace that he set up a separate workshop for special client commissions. He realized that Ahmedabad’s love and appreciation for jadtar, jadiya, polki, and Bikaneri traditions was uncontainable. The need to serve his clients better initiated the search and establishment of an exclusive space named Jasvantkumar Jewellers
Later on, his sons VikasSoni and Ronak Soni stepped in as powerhouses in marketing and brand building. Under the seasoned jeweller’s expert guidance, the young duo transformed the business into the modern and innovative jewellery brand that it is today, while preserving its unique cultural traditions and artistic expression.
The brand was given a new identity ‘Kalavarni Jewels’, an exclusive space that houses carefully handcrafted, one-of-a-kind fine jewellery. Every thoughtfully-designed piece is a feather in the cap of Kalavarni.
